Honest and diligent police officer Veer Chauhan believes in arresting law-breakers and placing them in the lock-ups for trial in a court of law, while his colleague inspector Khan feel that the police should take action upon apprehending the criminals--that is, shooting them to death. Thus, Veer and Khan don't get along. Veer lives happily with his wife Naina and their young son Sahil until they learn that Sahil has blood cancer and needs a bone-marrow transplant to save his life. But finding a donor that matches Sahil's bone-marrow group proves difficult, and when one is found, it's Balli, a jailed criminal who's been under Veer's custody for four years. At first Balli refuses to donate his bone-marrow to save his jailer's son, but later he changes his mind. Veer then make all the necessary arrangements which involve taking Balli from behind bars and loosening his chains to take him to the hospital. Balli then makes a drastic escape. With time running out on Veer as his son has only 15 days to live, he must locate Balli as fast as possible and before Khan shoots him to death.
