Much to his father's chagrin, Panais Peteinarakis, a lily-livered man past his prime, still hasn't managed to settle down and start a family. Indeed, even though he is in a platonic relationship with a young lady, Panais cannot summon up the courage to ask her dad for her hand in marriage. As one thing leads to another, and Panais finally sets foot in her house, an unforeseen complication awaits him in the shape of Fanis: a handsome, suave suitor blinded by love.
