Laura is a pretty, sexually repressed rich girl whom has spent most of her life in a Swiss Boarding School. When she returns to Mexico City, she is restless and bored. She's upset to find that her mother is openly having an affair with a younger man, and that her father is secretly following suit. When he's being blackmailed, her father commits suicide. Shocked, she marries Gustavo, her childhood sweetheart in a haste, only to find that he was her father's secret lover and that he's gay and sadistic. This sends her reeling into the modeling scene, working ceaselessly on magazines and fashion shows. Then she has a complicated relationship with celebrity photographer Alex. Her only support comes from her former schoolmate Regina, a prim and proper heiress. When Alex abandons her for a transvestite, Laura is devastated and is then drugged and raped by Regina and her strange Jamaican "maid". It turns out that Regina plotted everything to drive her friend to despair and then, entrap her in her web, turning her into a lifeless, drugged rag doll.
