In the wake of a particularly vitriolic review, one that will determine the future professional career of the talented but unconnected thespian, Petros Zaverdis, a determined killer puts two bullets through the chest of the loathed theatre critic, Markou. Before long, four prime suspects turn up; however, for lack of a rock-solid alibi, Zaverdis ends up behind bars, despite claiming innocence. Now, Petros' devoted girlfriend, spirited Aliki, and his trusted companion from the Resistance, the respected physician, Alexis Karatos, are his only allies in this tangled homicide case. More and more, the unrelenting stranglehold of the law is suffocating innocents and sinners alike; nevertheless, all the evidence points to Zaverdis. Who is the murderer who loved a lot?
