While away from home, Bob has met Betty and is now engaged to her - but back home, his family expects him to come home and marry Lillian, a wealthy society girl. Bob goes ahead and marries Betty, then disguises her as a young man, and presents her to his family as his roommate - a plan that soon makes things even more complicated.
