In his twilight years, a weary old hermit self-confined to a gloomy and squalid apartment realises that he is sadly reduced to a mere fragment of his former lively self. In this mockery of a life, only a worn-out photo shows the happy person the recluse once was; now, his sole companion is a legless white larva kept in his drawer. The old man is enfolded in oblivion and decay. Can he recreate some of his past happiness?
