To make ends meet and to support his ailing mother, the hard-working senior medical student, Fanis, is working as a long-distance truck driver with Fillipos, his best friend. On the way to Athens, the duo has a chance encounter with the kind hitchhiker, Anna, and they give her a lift to the capital. Before long, Fanis and Anna fall in love; however, one day, she decides to return to her village without saying a word. As a result, Fanis embarks on a journey to track down the love of his life, only to discover that Anna is about to get married to the community's unscrupulous loan shark. But, what made Anna change her mind and abandon Fanis? Does she know that the price of love is always high?
