The respected silver-haired chief-herder, Manthos, is overly protective of his young and beautiful daughter, Maro, refusing to marry her off. However, she is already in love with her father's trusted sheepherder, Lambrinos, who has enchanted Maro with the melodious sound of his hand-crafted recorder.
