Native Daughters (1898)

Native Daughters (1898) This Edison film runs just 33-seconds and was filmed at the Golden Jubilee in San Francisco, CA. There's really not too much going on as this is one of those films that simple capture a moment in time. The camera picks up a large group of people wondering around and that's pretty much it. This type of film certainly isn't going to entertain modern viewers but I think history or film buffs should at least get something out of it. I always enjoy watching these films because you get to take a look at a time that's obviously long gone. I enjoy seeing what type of clothes people were wearing back in the day and this one here offers up a great view of that. Outside of a few buildings in the background there's not much else to see here but it's certainly worth watching if you enjoy these type of films.
