The story of a strange friendship between 70-year-old, wheelchair bound man Tadeus and six-year-old girl Hildi. Tadeus's medical records reveal that he is suicidal. One day, while she is searching for her dog, Hildi prevents one of Tadeus's suicide attempts. Hildi's mother works as a nurse in the sanatorium where Tadeus is staying so the girl and the suicidal man often get a chance to see each other and soon a friendship develops between them. Since his mind is strongly set on committing suicide, Tadeus decides to use the girl to achieve that goal. Tadeus patiently and discretely approaches the subject of his suicide with the girl, but as the two of them are discussing it, the friendship between them keeps growing stronger. Hildi's love and dedication helped Tadeus to understand that life is precious so he no longer wants to die. But the two conspirators had already come up with a perfect plan for how to ensure Tadeus's death and Hildi already put it in motion. Is it possible to abort the plan?
