Not Rated 07 May 1904 • Short, Fantasy • 0h 2m
As a token of his appreciation to the well-beloved King Louis XV of France, a gifted artisan and renowned magician presents his latest creation, as a royal chamberlain followed by an assembly of eight male servants, unload a mysterious wooden box at the Palace of Versailles' broad and sunny imperial terrace. And just like that, the sensational curiosity is uncovered, revealing an enormous and magnificent folding fan composed of seven intricately-embroidered branches which house a septet of youthful ladies-in-waiting. Next, a beautiful minuet ensues, as the mesdemoiselles' costumes dissolve into fine noble ensembles. What an exquisite spectacle, worthy of an emperor.
