Ton ombre est la mienne (1963)
14 May 1963 • Drama • 1h 30m
I saw the USA dubbed version on television as a teenager. And although production values were not really good, the story was. Jill Haworth was wonderful as the long lost sister, who realizes in the end what true love is. Without revealing too much, complications occur when she is found in a Cambodian village by her brother who has been searching for her for years. Her new life conflicts with her old one and she must decide where she really belongs. She gets it right and it struck me in a profound way. So much so, that I essentially did the same thing and I owe my happy marriage to this movie. Thank you, Jill Haworth for opening my eyes to it.
