Brüderchen und Schwesterchen (1953)
25 Dec 1953 • Family • 1h 3m
Delightful and well-made children's film with some nice cinematographic special effects, like the animals in the brooks, and good script; older children will recognize themselves easily in the Little Brother and Little Sister. The characters are appealing and, though they do very wicked things, one can not be really mad at the witch (the actress has great fun in portraying her) and her spoiled daughter who - what a fine idea - has only one eye! The film feels like someone is telling the story with moving pictures at the side as there is a very good story teller (as voice-over) who has the right tone and never tells too much. Another winner in the genre of producer Hubert Schonger.
