Walter always promises Gladys that she would soon - in no more than a few weeks - be coming to the other world to be with Walter again. Gladys is positive that she has "no more than a few weeks, a few months at most" left on this Earth.Gladys celebrates her 100th birthday. Bill and Hillary Clinton send her a card. She is certain she would be rejoining her husbands soon. In the meantime, Vojtech is bringing his students (including Melinda Hsu who later goes on to become a writer and producer for the Lost series) and friends of his and Iraj's to see Gladys. They talk about the supernatural, immigrants in America, Gladys not liking them and all of her friends being them and other things. Gladys leaves her apartment for the first time in 12 years. As Gladys is hoping for a speedy departure into the world beyond, her 101st birthday comes. She is adamant that she has no more than a few weeks - a few months at most - left on this Earth. Walter keeps sending Gladys messages about all the people who are waiting for her in the world beyond and that she should take her bath today. Gladys is scared she will have to stay on Earth until she is 120. After all, she has kept Walter waiting since 1955. She celebrates her 102nd birthday.
