20 Dec 1910 • Comedy, Short
Always on the lookout for easy money. "Hank and Lank." our favorite comedians, see an opportunity to get a square meal when they are inspired by the methods of a blind man, preying upon public charity. "Hank and Lank" decide that it is easy to imitate the blind man, and hie away just too late, however, to see the supposed blind man arrested for imposing upon the public. Hank has the first chance, and after painting a sign which is attached to his coat, he takes a position at a busy corner. Donations come quick and fast. Every passerby drops a coin into his little cup. Lank, who has watched the operation with considerable interest, is anxious to try his hand at the graft and the two stroll away to the spot where they had seen the first beggar. For a time Lank is successful until a policeman, who had arrested blind man no. 1, comes on the scene, and after a struggle takes Lank away to the lock-up. The film ends here with Lank struggling with the policeman, and Hank making a rapid getaway.
