Daniel Dubosc is an employee of a motorway toll, timorous, whose life is ruled by his mother. Having received the obsession for the Eiffel Tower from his late father, he takes advantage of a day off to visit the capital. While heading to Rosny, to his cousin Jacques, a taxi driver, an illuminated person delays him. He arrives at his family in a climate of tension, his cousin's wife is preparing to take her driving license for the seventh time. The next day, urban transport is on strike. Jacques seems ready to accompany him.
