A Patented Stupid Man (1963)
Comedy • 1h 15m
Unable to cope with being the laughing stock of his small village, Pelopidas, an impecunious and jobless man with a heart of gold, leaves the cruel, close-knit community to seek a better future in faceless Athens. However, life in the bustling capital can be challenging for the unprepared ones, especially for persecuted Pelopidas, who has been suffering from his almost childlike naïveté since childhood. Indeed, this inherent characteristic is his biggest fault, and when two of his compatriots cross paths with him, Pelopidas will find himself back to square one, living under the same roof with his loud but kind-hearted relative, Uncle Theodosis. Perhaps now, poor Pelopidas can wipe the slate clean, bury the past, and win the heart of beautiful Marina. Will everyone realise what a wonderful person Pelopidas is?
