During World War II, Lieutenant Manolis, a battle-hardened officer of the Greek Army, arrives in the island of Nazi-occupied Crete. Under the Germans' nose, Manolis gets in touch with the local Resistance fighters and patriots, to organise a counter-attack strategy, and sabotage the enemy's vital facilities. In his dangerous mission, Manolis' former sweetheart, Dona, has a pivotal role; however, there is a despicable mole in their midst. Can Manolis and his team of selfless saboteurs survive the traitor's trap, and free the island of the braves?
