This film is hardly can be called horror or sci fi, but it looks like philosophic fantasy. I was interested in this title, as there is Pyotr Mamonov (famous new wave rock star from the USSR 80s) starring here. Pyotr is real cult for elder generation of progressive Russian people and he is also brilliant actor and performer. This is not his famous role . Pyotr plays here a wise master, who comes to a weird village one day to teach local men wisdom and life. The strange thing about the village is all the men living there are of different nationalities: German, Jewish, ukranian, Russian, uzbek, gypsy etc.. Mefodi teaches all them the way to understand each other, he speaks about music, cabala, fairy tales, sex etc. Finally all of them become even more friendly to each other and find success in life. There is not very much special effects here. But in some episodes we see Mefodiy turns a piece of clay into frog and then backwards. I would recommend this film more to philosophers or romantic people than to sci fi or horror fans.
