Plot :Two idle men,Gaston and Menu ,fishing in the river, begins to talk about the taxes :there are outrageously high ;and Gaston's father-in-law works in the Internal revenue :so Menu asks him an appointment with him, so that he can lower his income tax .It does not really work, but Gaston goes ahead with the biggie and decides to found a new school , to help the taxplayers with their tax forms (to reduce the taxes ,that is) .Needless to say ,it infuriates daddy-in-law and Gaston 's marriage is on the rocks. The best scene belongs to Pierre Larquey :coming to see the taxman with the laudable intention of getting cuts , he 's told that he must have a tax adjustment and extra-taxes galore. Few scenes are as funny as this one, and the comic of the situation is not fully exploited .But this very old movie has an obvious contemporary feel. Obese Paul Poley is ideally cast as a civil servant ,whose revenue melt away as the taxpayers school becomes more and more famous .
