A terrific action tale starring the exceptionally talented actor Kataoka Chiezo as Murasaki Zukin. He is the mysterious hooded man, a hero of the people, and a master of disguise, also highly skilled with sword & ninja throwing knives. The Purple Hooded Man intuitively appears out of nowhere, always just in time to help those in need. The setting is the late 1700s, now under the rule of the evil Lord Tanuma who brings misery & misfortune upon the common folk. On a righteous path and with his menacing presence the Hooded Man fearlessly confronts and stares down all adversaries...Murasaki Zukin is a wonderfully entertaining Japanese Classic, highlighted with fabulous action, outstanding performances, and also featuring some captivating song and dance.
