When I encountered this movie I was expecting...I'm not sure because I'd never heard of this film or had any inclination to watch films from Russian cinema. However, when my brother's friend dug this one out I thought, why not? On reflection, that was not a bad decision. It is by no means a classic and I'm not going to urge everyone to go and see this, but it was an interesting take on life, especially of a place like Russia which I know little about now let alone back in the 60s and 70s.If you find this on TV one day or in a video store, give it a try and you might find it worth your while.
