Seemingly unable to hold down a job for long, the unlucky and perpetually broke best friends, Polidoros and Trifonas, finally manage to land a job as bricklayers in one of wealthy developer Takis' upcoming residential projects. But there, the two inexperienced workers inadvertently overhear their boss' plans to give away in marriage his only sister, Mary, who is secretly in love with the contractor's young but poor employee, Nikos.
