An Unbelievable Fool (1969)
Comedy, Romance • 1h 24m
At a peaceful neighbourhood in Plaka, a silent remnant of the blood-drenched German occupation in Greece during WWII lies hidden in the backyard of unsuspecting Thanassis, a struggling barber with a heart of gold. Secretly in love with his neighbour, Lisa, the beautiful daughter of the unscrupulous German collaborator, Charoupoglou, Thanassis' past will soon come back to haunt him when the unexpected visit of the former Gestapo officer, Major Von Ziffren and his henchmen, disguised as tourists, evoke bad memories. Now, decades later, the Germans are once again making demands. However, the resilient barber with the delicate hands refuses to yield to pressure. Will Thanassis ever find out rapacious Von Ziffren's secret? Moreover, will he get a second chance at love?
