01 Dec 1958 • Comedy • 1h 17m
After decades of dedication to medical science, Dr Likourgos Bekos, a diligent medical doctor of the Greek public health and medical care system, finally gets his state pension. As a result, the good doctor makes the decision to move out of Athens to live in the beautiful but rugged Greek countryside, along with his wife, and his young daughter, Keti. But, there, in his wife's birthplace, modern science will soon come face to face with superstition and the old-fashioned village's beloved midwife, Calliope Moustaki, who proves to be a firm believer of the malevolent glare or the evil eye--and above all--a mighty adversary. However, things are bound to take a turn for the unexpected, as Dimitris, Calliope's charming medical student son, returns home. Will Keti ever notice him?
