Trapeze Artist (1934)
G 01 Sep 1934 • Animation, Short • 0h 7m
When Krazy Kat and Kitty go to the circus, the eponymous trapeze artist steals Kitty away. Krazy winds up dragged off by the coppers, and gets to sing "The Man on the Flying Trapeze". There are three verses and multiple renditions of the chorus to get through, including a couple I had never heard before.Well, that's something, anyway. That takes up about a third of the movie, and then it's up to Krazy and the trapeze cat to torment each other for the rest of the cartoon. A couple of the gags are pretty good - Harrison and Gould, who had been directing the KK shorts for eight years at this point, were no slouches. Worth a look.
