Cagey Business (1965)
01 Feb 1965 • Animation, Short
This was another of those Paramount Cartoons-Modern Madcap shorts that I watched on the DailyMotion site. This one is about a talking lion that speaks in a monotone who manages to get out of his cage to get some rice pudding. It seems since he's not any use at the zoo, the zoo keeper isn't giving him any so he searches for it...There's a few more things that happens in this short but I'll just say right now that none of it is the least bit funny. Besides the non-existent timing, the animation is very limited so no interesting movements, either. There's also a barber, a restaurant customer, and a chef that's waiting for his payment but they don't really do anything as well. And by the way, the lion's name is Hilary. So since I've filled the required 10 lines, all I'll say is Cagey Business gets no recommendation from me.
