Yorgos Floras, an attractively distant man who lives on the margin of society, and Efi, a beautiful young streetwalker, decide to come to a reluctant agreement. As a result, to repay his gambling debts, Yorgos becomes Efi's make-believe husband, giving her one last chance to honour her dying father's last wish. But, strangely, and against all odds, the improbable couple slowly bonds, and, as if by fate, their love will gradually blossom. More and more, the painful hesitancy and the heavy shadows of disbelief fade away before the power of their feelings; nevertheless, their dishonourable past threatens to come back to haunt Efi and Yorgos. Is there a future for those bearing the stigma of corruption?
