A Man for All the Chores (1966)
Comedy • 1h 45m
After a hot and head-to-head father-and-son clash, the young cynic and ruthless arriviste, Yorgos Pasparatos, abandons a promising future in the family business, renouncing his riches to make it big on his own. However, taking advantage of other people's suffering is a poor and despicable strategy--and before he knows it--this fledgeling hotel waiter will realise that compassion is deeply rooted in human nature. As a result, a pair of tickets to sun-kissed Mallorca; a silent mystery behind a pair of thick dark glasses; the appalling loneliness of a well-off expatriate, and an unforeseen invitation to Sweden, will nurture a subtle but significant transformation. After all, a cold life without love is completely worthless.
