In this entry in the Hollywood Thalians Club shorts, in which some (of the 39) actors appear as actors using their own names and others appear playing fictional people---thereby meaning no one is playing Self--- Johnny Harron is watching the Hollywood fire department football team playing a game, and decides that he can round up some Hollywood actors that could beat the firemen playing football. Since Johnny Mack Brown, an All-American running back at the University of Alabama, who got a film contract based on his performance in a Rose Bowl game, is about the only person in the film that even looks like he could play football, other than Johnny Harron and the short stuntman Joe Bonomo, it is doubtful that the team Harron put together could even beat the Our Gang football team, even if the girls played. So Betty Compson, anxious to see her Hollywood friends win the game, keeps phoning in false alarms to the fire department.
