Oh, You Beautiful Doll (1929) ** 1/2 (out of 4)The Fleischer Studio produced a number of these animated short films where the "bouncing ball" would have audience members singing together. OH, YOU BEAUTIFUL DOLL has a cat going all romantic and singing the title song to a female he likes. These "bouncing ball" shorts are something most people today won't even know ever existed but they are decent for what they are. The animation here was quite good for the time and I thought for the most part this was an innocent and entertaining short. The song itself was decent but I assure you I wasn't singing along as I watched this.
