Knowing that they are already five months behind in the rent, the bosom friends and incorrigible layabouts, Mimis and Fikis, have no other choice but to find a job to make ends meet. Of course, under those circumstances, getting married is out of the question. Then, the companions manage to land a job as ice-cream vendors, only to find out that selling ice lollies to penniless children is an impossible task. Now, Fikis, who cherishes his freedom, has no excuse for not marrying his long-term sweetheart, Lola; however, the boys seem unable to keep a job for more than a few hours. Will things work out for Mimis and Fikis in the end?
