Whitness the birth of the extreme sports movement to be realized through the history of Gregg Stump movies... and this is the Genesis. Beyond capturing the essence of the exotic and eccentric sub culture of the ski bum; these finely tuned athletes and sports entertainers went on to be future Olympians and mythological ski characters much more intriguing than the NBA or NFL could ever offer (read: not spoiled millionaires). Now if Gregg Stump happens to meet Christopher Guest... that would be historic. The lines of reality and fantasy are blurred beyond the makers, skiers,or viewers initial perception. The characters in the movie are interesting enough to make "Survivor" watchable and the locations are sublime. If you use movies as a course of cheap travel... this is worth the trip. In fact: Makes you realize you have truly misspent your life.
