With the noble profession of carriage driving on the verge of extinction, the weary horse-drawn carriage driver, Anestis, and his colleague, Theodoros, find themselves fighting a losing battle to keep alive their dying art. Then, the devastating government decision to ban all carriages from the city's centre will be the final nail in the coffin, as pressing dilemmas demand answers. Now, renouncing one's former way of living for the sake of progress, and a brand-new cab, seems like the perfect option; however, Anestis can't stop the inevitable. To make matters worse, Anestis' son, Nikos, has abandoned him, his sensitive foster daughter, Anna, has no one else to turn to, and the grizzled breadwinner is already struggling to eke out an existence. Is this the end of an era?
