Boring film from the Ceausescu period. A big waste of time! All the actors are embarrassing. Trained in the Soviet Union at the "Maxim Gorky" Institute ofLiterature in Moscow, Ioan Grigorescu, the author of the screenplay, also wrote the screenplays for several more communist propaganda films. The most embarrassing character is the communist soldier played by Nicolae Praida, an actor specialized in such roles, see also the other roles in his filmography, especially the other soldier who commits suicide in Mircea Muresan's "Rascoala". The song "Canary" by the band Phoenix, which I suppose was an anti-communist protest, is used here for exactly the contradictory purpose, making the main hero, the young communist locked in a cell with a wolf dog, a hero, a victim.
