This is probably the most elegant and funny movie made in Denmark. An architect (Reichhardt) is nearly bankrupt, when he and his beautiful wife (Kjer) get the idea, to let Reichhardt commit "suicide", get the life assurance and fly to his brother in Chile. The plan goes well, but R became more and more suspicious to his wife, left alone with a former flame. He returns under the facts, that he is the brother from Chile and from that moment even Ernst Lubitch must have been inspired. The movies highlight is also Kjers movie careers, when she found out, what her husband has going, she find a way to make a fool of him - and what a picture Jacobsen gives us, when she gets it.
