Here she plays the woman in chief for the all the family, as much for her young sister than for her husband and children. Set in Alger after WWII, the movie shows us, the french people colonist, as racist towards the native people! Indeed, we came to their land, take the best of it and segregated them: it's no wonder that they can't stand us in return! For sure it must have been an Italian production because in our country we don't like to be recalled this shameful past and so we don't make movies about it with the lame pretext to not reopen wounds!
