Daisy is twenty and lives on the edge of society. Mona is the baby that Daisy had when a 20-year-old man got her pregnant at 13 or 14. Mona has spent her first seven years with her father, away from Daisy. When he is sentenced to jail, Daisy takes Mona in. The little girl is a violent reminder of the past. Among their thousand adventures, Mona finds the opportunity to help her mother grow and Daisy finds a way into her daughter's heart.
