Marina is the fourth month pregnant when she has a severe traffic accident and falls into coma because of brain damage. Although the doctors don't expect her to awake again, they suggest her fiancée Michael to keep her alive artificially until the unborn child is old enough to survive. Michael accepts the offer. Only Marina's mother is terrified and seeks the public, putting the case into the headlines.
