Rafales (1990)
17 Oct 1991 • Crime, Drama, Thriller • 1h 28m
It's Christmas Eve and a blizzard is raging. In the parking lot of a shopping center, a car parks silently. Inside are three armed and nervous men who are preparing to commit a robbery in an electronics store. After some procrastination, Normand and his younger brother, Gérard, finally decide to go in. However as the two men escape after emptying the vaults of the store, a gun shot goes wrong and Gerard accidentally kills a Santa Claus impersonator who passed by. The police intercepted Normand, while Gerard fled with the money. Louis-Philippe Trépanier, the host of Montréalités on CKBG radio, follows him in the storm. Trépanier, an ambitious and unscrupulous columnist, sees Gerard as a good opportunity to impress Pierre Champagne, his demanding boss. This is perhaps the perfect opportunity to strike a big media coup and finally get the recognition he's been waiting for so long.
