Piotr, a middle aged mathematician, is left by his wife. In act of despair he tries to hang himself, but his best friend Marek saves him. Marek persuades Piotr to go together to Sopot, a summer resort by the Baltic Sea, full of attractive women. Marek is convinced that only a new woman can change Piotr's mind and bring back happiness to his life. But the problem is that Piotr is not the seducer type. And the ladies prefer Marek, who is happily married. Then Marek meets Beata, a nymphomaniac, and real troubles begin.
