Poetic story of love, passion, loyalty, betrayal and death. A strange group of three people travel throughout the country on the bus they own. The group consist of Magda, a young woman, and two men: the group's leader Jakub, who is always wearing sun glasses, and another man nicknamed the Friar. Their bus serves them as home, costume store and photo lab. What they do for the living is creating scenes from the life of the Holy Family, acting in them, photographing them and, finally, selling the self-made photographic prints as "holy" images. The photos are distributed among peasants at small village fairs or church fetes. One day, a mysterious silent man joins the group. He is received as a guest, with food and wine. Next day the man leaves, stealing their camera. During the pursuit after the thief, the camera is destroyed. Having lost their main tool of labor, the group face serious surviving problem, especially that here comes autumn with strong winds and heavy rains. The two men have, however, a strange idea of selling the girl.
