24 Nov 1967 • Comedy, Family • 1h 43m
The story is about the people in - and around - the cosy café Trinidad in the Copenhagen canal street, Nyhavn ("New Harbour"). The owner, Joakim Nielsen, runs the place as a second home for the regular customers. The gangster mr. Schwartz is trying to take over the café, in order to turn it into a gambling club, but Joakim Nielsen won't sell. When Joakim Nielsen dies he leaves the café to his niece on the condition that she herself takes leadership of the café. But Schwartz is still plotting to take over using blackmail and other gangster methods. And now all the regular customers have to join forces in order to save café Trinidad.
