Marc is the composer of the song "Raviante" which is the nickname that everyone gives to his charming and faithful wife, Evelyne. Maurice, the editor of Marc's songs, his best friend, is madly in love with Evelyne although he is fortunate to have a pretty, tender and self-effacing woman. In Marc's absence, Maurice goes out with his friend's wife, but his assiduous advances are disdainfully rejected. Maurice humiliated, furious, vexed, imagines in revenge to make fall this inaccessible Evelyne in the nets of an irresistible Don Juan, the commander of the caravel Thierry. He makes an appointment with Evelyne at the Auberge des Trois Biches, in Chantilly. Thierry will go in his place. Her charm will act on "Ravissant" and following his habit, he will soon leave her, wonderful revenge for the mistreatment she has inflicted on him. Unfortunately, it is Françoise, Maurice's wife, who, thanks to a telephone indiscretion, will be at Chantiîly's meeting. Thierry will court her while "Raviante" having had a slight car accident is immobilized on the road to Chantilly. The misunderstanding will take on all the desirable dimension so that the husband threatened with being cheated is not Marc, but Maurice, the author of this comedy. The winner of this race for pretty women will be Thierry, the irresistible Thierry, whom Raviante will finally try to conquer.
