Le fric (1959)
01 Jul 1959 • Drama • 1h 33m
Maurice Cloche never directed great movies, all his movies I saw are absolutely boring. Le Fric just got released on DVD, and I hoped to discover an unknown gem of french film noir with cynical dialogs for Raymond Rouleau. But I quickly got sadly disappointed, everything is dull, no real violent noir action, maybe a few silly dialogs but that's it. So flat, the kind of DVD you immediately want to sell. Don't jump on it, I repeat, this is not a forgotten gem of french film noir. But the best way to discover unknown gems is by watching every release, so I'll keep going on. Just watch Des Filles Disparaissent or Le Monte Charge, these are true gems of french film noir.
