Left on her own, Manon thinks she's been deserted. Attracted by luxury, she becomes the Marquis of Boysson's mistress. Des Grieux escapes and Manon quits her degenerate ways to follow him. But once again, money runs out. Des Grieux cheats at gambling and is arrested.
