Man spielt nicht mit der Liebe (1949)
23 Nov 1949 • Comedy • 1h 29m
Only mildly entertaining, noisy marriage comedy with Paul Klinger (man's best handyman) in the lead; if he can make you laugh, you probably laugh at anything. Georg Thomalla keeps himself in check, but is never really funny either. No, it are both Lil Dagover and Albrecht Schoenhals who save this film and are charming and very good; they also save the film of the uninspired direction by Hans Deppe. But there is one very funny idea here: there is a young dynamic and passionate parody of a poet who is called Rainer Maria Wolke; he gives the film some hilarious moments.
