A brutal businessman, Vilhelm Gerner, triggers a stock speculation by providing false information. Two of his partners, Smith and Grå, get ruined and therefore both of them commit suicide. Later, Gerner is found shot by his own gun. The police suspects at least seven persons. Most of them admits murdering Gerner. A reconstruction is staged in th presence of all the suspects.
