A slightly tongue-in-cheek comedy on the theme of thrift, which was made for the Scottish Post Office Savings Bank. It is divided into an introduction and five short episodes, the most ambitious of which shows a young couple conjuring up the 'wee hoose' (little house) of their dreams where a gas cooker replaces the range and they have a kitchenette with lots of new fittings including a brass sink with chromium taps, and they can wash the dishes in the kitchen and themselves in the bathroom and never have to wait their turn at the one sink anymore.
