How to Figure Income Tax (1938)
Approved 01 Mar 1938 • Comedy, Short • 0h 9m
As he is now working on his income tax, Joe Doakes conducts the latest in his series of "how to" lectures, this time on income tax. He provides a general overview on the theory behind the income tax, and to where the money goes. He then goes through the income tax form, and what goes into specific line items. When he doesn't know what goes into a line item, he checks the fine print in the instructions and accompanying Schedules. After filling in all the necessary line items, it is then time to do all the calculations to come up with the tax payable. But what may be more important to most people is how to evade paying income tax, which follows up on what to do if one is being audited.
